The image of the butterfly resonates deeply within us because it is a symbol of struggle, growth, transformation, beauty, and hope.... 
All that we experience in our own lives...and all which become especially pronounced when faced with a cancer diagnosis.  The butterfly reminds us that life is a process of change - it involves moving forward into the unknown that is before us and having faith in the possibilities on the other side of darkness.   The butterfly arch marks the entrance to the Cancer Survivors Park.
