A LITTLE ABOUT ME

Every forest is a labyrinth
of unspoken thoughts, secret paths to be discovered.
Sometimes,
alone,
we wander,
not knowing what we will find.
At other times,
we stand motionless,
to listen to what speaks quietly.
The murmurings of the forest.
When I think of my childhood, I know my memory is selective. It’s artful -- a drawer full of lessons and images from East and West. Combined, recombined, filtered. The balance of here and there. The balance of my mood, the balance of sensitivity, the balance of form and shape. Stillness and movement. As an artist, my desire is to find my own place - balanced between rootedness and adventure. My art is and continues to be a labyrinth of self discovery.
